My search team

WSS are bred to work. They love all kinds of challenges, but i prefer to work with their noses. The dog's nose is absolute a treasure when it comes to what they can do with it. And the shepherds noses are famous for their ability to detect, search, etc. Think about drug dogs, search and rescue dogs, cadaver dogs, etc.

Mojo, Mijne and Jessie love to fetch a ball. So I came up with a game called 'seek the ball'. I throw two balls over the fence of the dog pen, into the wood and then open the door when giving the cue 'seek'. Sometimes they find both balls in seconds, sometimes it takes minutes. We play this game like 15-20 minutes every time we go out to the pen and they really love it and drains their energy. Jane is to young  to join bc of her joints. It happens sometimes that i throw the ball in the middle of a big stack of wood. To make sure that they don't hurt themselves i leave then in the Pen and go fetch the ball myself. The picture shows them waiting for me and Mijne is the one with his head shoved under the door LOL.
